How the figures are checked

Coverage, density and weight figures come from the same table the calculator uses, and that table is what every guide on this site quotes. Densities for loose material vary with moisture and with how a yard screens its product, so the figures are presented as planning values rather than as a guaranteed weight for a specific load. If a yard ticket disagrees with a number here by more than a normal margin, report it through the contact page.

Currency and pricing

Prices on this site are shown in US dollars and charged in US dollars. The amount your bank converts it to, and any card conversion fee, is outside this site and is shown by your bank.
